<html><body>Job Description: Associate Director / Director, Regional Medical Affairs Summary The Associate Director / Director of Regional Medical Affairs will lead and manage a team of Regional Medical Affairs Managers (RMAs) with a focus on rare pulmonology, while also maintaining limited direct territory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development <ul data-start="1026" data-end="1697"> <li data-start="1026" data-end="1148"> Lead and manage RMAs and contract field medical team members, ensuring effective collaboration and smooth transitions. </li> <li data-start="1149" data-end="1290"> Partner with senior medical affairs leadership and training staff to design and deliver training programs, materials, and field coaching. </li> <li data-start="1291" data-end="1384"> Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. </li> <li data-start="1385" data-end="1517"> Define performance metrics, resource requirements, and operating procedures to advance the field-based medical affairs function. </li> <li data-start="1518" data-end="1615"> Motivate, coach, and hold team members accountable for reporting, projects, and deliverables. </li> <li data-start="1616" data-end="1697"> Make decisions aligned with medical affairs and broader organizational goals. </li> </ul> Strategic Planning & Execution <ul data-start="1736" data-end="2358"> <li data-start="1736" data-end="1852"> Develop and oversee congress strategies and KOL engagement plans aligned with global medical affairs objectives. </li> <li data-start="1853" data-end="1938"> Provide actionable field insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making. </li> <li data-start="1939" data-end="2042"> Partner with global medical affairs leadership to align on strategy and ensure effective execution. </li> <li data-start="2043" data-end="2174"> Evolve field strategies to anticipate external changes and stakeholder needs, ensuring a forward-looking, data-driven approach. </li> <li data-start="2175" data-end="2268"> Lead the development of dashboards and reporting tools to monitor performance and impact. </li> <li data-start="2269" data-end="2358"> Oversee performance management and professional development plans for the field team. </li> </ul> Cross-Functional Collaboration <ul data-start="2397" data-end="2961"> <li data-start="2397" data-end="2614"> Collaborate with Clinical Development and Clinical Operations to ensure study expertise, protocol alignment, and support for study-related activities (e.g., site initiation, issue resolution, recruitment support). </li> <li data-start="2615" data-end="2749"> Maintain consistent communication across Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, and Medical Affairs for coordinated execution. </li> <li data-start="2750" data-end="2854"> Work with other field medical leaders globally to align on training, best practices, and strategies. </li> <li data-start="2855" data-end="2961"> Share relevant field insights with cross-functional stakeholders to support organizational objectives. </li> </ul> Field & Scientific Engagement <ul data-start="2999" data-end="3624"> <li data-start="2999" data-end="3128"> Maintain limited direct territory responsibilities, engaging with KOLs, investigators, study staff, and healthcare providers. </li> <li data-start="3129" data-end="3228"> Provide scientific education, literature, and insights in alignment with compliance guidelines. </li> <li data-start="3229" data-end="3361"> Attend regional and national conferences to gather competitive intelligence, build relationships, and share insights internally. </li> <li data-start="3362" data-end="3476"> Support trial-related education, patient enrollment, and retention in partnership with cross-functional teams. </li> <li data-start="3477" data-end="3624"> Participate in regional medical affairs activities including advisory boards, roundtable meetings, medical education events, and presentations. </li> </ul> Compliance & Administration <ul data-start="3660" data-end="3911"> <li data-start="3660" data-end="3748"> Ensure adherence to compliance guidelines, regulations, and organizational policies. </li> <li data-start="3749" data-end="3822"> Deliver timely and accurate administrative reports and documentation. </li> <li data-start="3823" data-end="3911"> Model ethical standards and organizational values in all medical affairs activities. </li> </ul> Job Qualifications Education, Certifications, and Experience <ul data-start="3987" data-end="5479"> <li data-start="3987" data-end="4082"> Advanced scientific or clinical degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent strongly preferred). </li> <li data-start="4083" data-end="4216"> 7+ years of progressive medical affairs experience with demonstrated leadership impact; 10+ years for senior-level consideration. </li> <li data-start="4217" data-end="4348"> At least 3 years of people management experience required, with 2+ years leading field-based medical teams at the senior level. </li> <li data-start="4349" data-end="4475"> Expertise in Rare Pulmonology strongly preferred, with the ability to quickly develop knowledge in new therapeutic areas. </li> <li data-start="4476" data-end="4602"> Strong background in clinical research and trial operations (study design, feasibility, start-up, execution, and closure). </li> <li data-start="4603" data-end="4670"> Experience with pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities. </li> <li data-start="4671" data-end="4767"> Proven success in leading, building, and evolving high-performing field-based medical teams. </li> <li data-start="4768" data-end="4875"> Demonstrated ability to influence through collaboration, accountability, and results-driven leadership. </li> <li data-start="4876" data-end="4996"> Experience building trusted relationships with external thought leaders, investigators, and healthcare stakeholders. </li> <li data-start="4997" data-end="5105"> Excellent communication and diplomacy skills, balancing scientific expertise with relationship building. </li> <li data-start="5106" data-end="5220"> Skilled at translating complex scientific data into clear and compelling communications for diverse audiences. </li> <li data-start="5221" data-end="5337"> Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to navigate dynamic environments. </li> <li data-start="5338" data-end="5479"> Effective collaborator across multiple functions (Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, etc.) to align on strategy and execution. </li> </ul> Special Working Conditions <ul data-start="5514" data-end="5596"> <li data-start="5514" data-end="5596"> Office-based role with domestic and international travel required (up to 60%). </li> </ul></body></html>
